WICKLOW WAY SERIES SCREEN PRINTS

The Wicklow Way and Wicklow Way – Naphthol Red, are based on the view looking SW from White Hill in the Wicklow Mountains. White Hill is just below Djouce, and The Wicklow Way runs along White Hill and just below the summit of Djouce.

The walk from the JB Malone Memorial to the summit of Djouce is one that I have completed around 20 times, and it never fails to disappoint, at any time of year.

Wicklow Way has a colour gamut inspired by the vegetation of the high Wicklow Mountains, with the greens, pinks and purples of the heathers. Wicklow Way – Naphthol Red has a bold, simple colour scheme. The name “Naphthol Red” reflects our interest in the natural history of colour pigments and their use in paint.

Both versions, each in an edition of 12 prints, are available famed or unframed in Kilmantin Arts.
